This special edition of the all-electric Porsche Taycan brings a darker look and a pile of normally optional features as standard.

The Porsche of electric cars, the Taycan offers great driving dynamics and impressive velocity. This performance is evident in both a straight line and through the curves. It’s also the quickest car to 60 mph we’ve ever tested in GT Weissach form. However, not everyone needs that model’s bonkers performance. Many customers also don’t want to sacrifice items like the rear seats and other comfort features, even if they desire some measure of exclusivity. If that describes your needs, the 2026 Porsche Taycan Black Edition is a new special package for you. This edition offers unique tweaks while doing nothing to diminish its high capabilities on your local mountain or back roads.

The Black Edition is available on the Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S models. It won’t be available only in black, however. Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, and Ice Grey Metallic are among the no-cost paint options. Porsche calls these the “Shades” category of colors, which normally cost $820. If you want to branch out from monotone, you can. Pony up some extra money and choose from Porsche’s Legends or Dreams categories. Alternatively, go custom with Porsche’s Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus programs.

The Black Edition is really a combination of popular options bundled together. This includes the SportsDesign package, which adds high-gloss black to items such as the exterior mirrors and interior trim. You also get 21-inch wheels with full-color Porsche crest center caps and Porsche’s HD-Matrix Design LED headlights. This is perhaps the best part: the upgraded Performance Battery Plus pack with a 105-kWh capacity is included. According to the EPA, that means the rear-drive base Taycan Black Edition returns up to 318 miles of maximum range. The 4 returns 294 miles, and the 4S returns 295 miles.

Among the options made standard are Porsche logo puddle lights and illuminated door sill plates that read “Black Edition.” You also get 14-way power front seats with memory, which feature the Porsche crest on the headrests. Black embossed leather is applied throughout the cabin. However, you can pay extra to swap in Slate Gray or a two-tone look.
